Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, a crew member of our team will pick you up from the airport and help you to check into a hotel. Then in the afternoon, the necessary equipments for the trip will be collected such as: sleeping bags, gloves, big fluffy jackets and more. You will meet your tour guide and necessary discussion about the trip will done. If you have any queries regarding this trip then you can ask your guide at this time. There will also be a welcome dinner held for you by our company.
You will fly for around 40 minutes enjoying the beautiful scenic views from Kathmandu to Tenzing Hillary Airpot at Lukla. Lukla will be your beginning point for this trek. You will meet other crew members there. You will start packing up your bag for the trek. After an hour of your walk, you will get to see Cheplung village from where you can also get a glimpse of sacred mountain, Mt. Khumbila which has never been climbed before. As you keep on walking, you will reach Phakding after around 4 hours of trek and spend the night there at a guesthouse.
You will be walking through a gorgeous pine forest on this day and north up the valley of Benkar. Then you cross Dudh Koshi river and walk ahead passing Chumoa to Monjo which is the gateway to the Sagarmatha National Park. After crossing the suspension bridge and walking through the steep landscapes, alongside of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers, you will now enter the famous village: Namche Bazzar where the world famous climbers: The Sherpas live. If the weather is clear, you can view the Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse and even if it’s not clear, you can enjoy the rich Nepalese culture, colorful Prayers flags, and the busy market filled with many trekkers from all around the world. Then, overnight at Namche Bazzar.
There are a good variety of things to do when you are in Namche Bazzar. So, it is going to be your acclimatization day and explore this main centre of Khumbu region with government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, colorful and quietly crowd market, restaurants, cafes and more. If you want then you can go on a day hike with your trek guide to see the stunning sunrise views from Sagarmatha National Park where you will also get to view Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Amadablam and many more. While you stay in Namche Bazzar, you get to percieve the way of life of the Sherpas, visit Khumjung Hillary School and enjoy the flora and fauna found at these kind of places. Then stay the night at a guesthouse.
On this day, you will trek for 5-6 hours passing through famous Dudh Koshi river and the rhododendron forests upto Tengboche. You can enjoy the snowcapped mountain peaks of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Kongde and son on. As you reach Tengboche, you can visit Tengboche monastery which is the largest monastery at this altitude and soak yourself into the beauty of this vast nature.
You will now walk through the green forests filled with beautiful red rhododendron, confires and birch. You will also enjoy the beautiful white chain of the himalayas. This trail takes you down to Devuche, cross the Imja River and walk to the Pangboche. You would love to visit the Pangboche monastery and move ahead towards Imja Valley. As you keep moving on alongside Lobuche River you finally reach Dingboche. At Dingboche, you will get to see a thin settlement with fields of barley, buckwheat and potatoes but enclosed by stone walls to protect them from cold winds and grazing animal. An overnight here at a guest house after the trek of around 6 hours.
This will be your acclimatization day at Dingboche. Dingboche is a poppular village for stay more often for the trekkers headed to Mt. Everest, Amadablam and Imja Tse. You can spend the day gazing around the beautiful village or even for on a day hike to chukkung Ri for a great view of makalu, Lhotse, Tawache and Chalotse.
You will trek for around 6 hours on this day from Dingboche to lobuche. You will pass through Duglha and climb up a steep landscape to Chupki Lhara. Here, you will observe a parade of stones engraved with prayer flags used a memorials to Scott Fischer: An American mountaineer and Babu Chiri: A Nepali mountain guide who has summited the Everest 10 times. You will follow the Khumbu Glacier moraine and view range of great peaks: Khumbutse, Pumori, Lhotse etc. The trail now begins to get quite easier as you walk upto Lobuche. Finally an overnight at a guesthouse.
Now Gorak Shep will be your last gateway to Everest Base Camp after 7 hours of trek. As you keep on moving, you will reach the Indian Army mountaineer’s memorials from where path can get confused for the trekkers. So, we recommend you to follow your guide strictly and soon you will be at the base of Mt. Everest filled with colorful camps of the mountaineers from all over the world. You can get the best view of Pumori, Mt. Nuptse, Lhotse etc from here. After spending few hours of time here you will get going back to GorakShep for an overnight stay.
You will get up very early in the morning on this day and get ready to hike to Kalapatthar. Please remember that morning can get very chilly and windy. You can see very close view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse from here at Kala Patthar. Now, you can enjoy the great vistas of these snowcapped white mountains and then return back to Pheriche for a good night’s rest.
You start your trek for around 7 hours walking through the forests covered by juniper trees, rhododendron and later on pine trees. You will cross the prayer flag and the bridge over Dudh koshi river. As you walk through pine forests, you may come across colorful pheasants and mountain goats. Then you will soon reach Sansa where you can enjoy the breath-taking views of mountains and finally reach Namche Bazzar.
This will be the last day at Namche Bazzar during your trek. You will walk down very steep trail from here, so, be aware as you walk this difficult terrain. As you pass the suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi river, the trail becomes enjoyable and easier. After you arrive in Lukla, we do some stretching to cool down your exhausted legs and prevent any sort of injury. Then, you can enjoy and talk about your experience of this lifetime trek to the EBC with your friends and crew members. Finally, a last night at Lukla.
Your flight will take off early in the morning to Kathmandu after this long and exhausting journey. After reaching Kathmandu, you can go shopping or take proper rest or even your guide can help you to explore good areas to spend the day. Finally, there will be a farewell dinner and celebration of completion of this incredible voyage to the EBC. The final overnight at Kathmandu.
Your trek adventure in Nepal will officially come to an end on this day. You can rearrange your photos and rest well. Finally, our team representative will pick you up to the airport for your departure that is 3 hours before your flight. And finally, you will be on your way to your next adventure!
