Dhaulagiri Sanctuary Trek, Newly Explored Trekking Trail to Mount Dhaulagiri South Base Camp

Dhaulagiri Sanctuary Trek is one of the few gratifying treks and freshly discovered route in the circuit towards Dhaulagiri Mountain (8167m). This trek is believed to be the shortest direction to arrive at Dhaulagiri South Base Camp. The region is enhanced with its distinctive picturesque beauty, flora-fauna and welcoming local natives.  During the journey, the views of peaks and mountains from Dhaulagiri, Annapurna ranges, Churen and Nilgiri can be observed. 7th highest peak in the world Mt. Dhaulagiri is the major highlight.

The town of Beni at an altitude of 830m is the focal point for the trek. Beni is located at the intersection between the mighty beni khola and the holy KaliGandaki River. It used to be the trade center between Nepal and Tibet long-ago. Dhaulagiri Sanctuary trek starts from Jhi at an altitude of 1680m. Alternately the trek can also begin from Singa Tatopani. The region is densely populated by Magars, Brahmin, Chettris and Dalit and is deepen with unexposed Magar culture. The journey gets further charming when you see many species of birds and wild species such as Himalayan Thar, Leopard and deer. The trekking above sub alpine climatic zone is exigent due to its remoteness and wilderness. The onerous and arduous part is above the elevation of 2200m and it does require robustness and experience. Climbing equipments are vital as the trek includes walking on snows and glaciers. We will stay at the Local homes for accommodation and logistics support. We will also go through the unique settlements and tent camping as accommodation as we get to the higher altitude.
